Behind the Scenes

Utilizing dynamic split-screen video, we showed fans how director Ridley Scott sketched all the film’s storyboards himself, creating detailed illustrations to help guide the production and inform the final look of every shot.

We still found ways to lean into fun social trends to keep the content playful and bring additional BTS stories to life, such as showcasing some of the most impressive stunt and VFX work with tongue-in-cheek social copy like “How It Started vs How It’s Going”.

Influencer Partnership

From SweetAmbs’ jaw-dropping gingerbread Roman Colosseum to Chris Ashley’s action-packed VFX edits, our campaign tapped into organic UGC-style trends to emphasize the spectacle of the film. With over 430K views, these unexpected and bespoke collaborations drove digital sales and brought the grandeur of Gladiator II directly to audiences at home in innovative ways.

Social Creative

Showcasing beautiful locations and pulse-pounding combat, we masterfully edited all the most iconic moments along with over-the-top graphics to show audiences that all the excitement of Gladiator is just as thrilling to enjoy in the comfort of their homes. View Video

Having fun with social trends is absolutely key to a thumb-stopping experience. And what better way to disrupt fans’ feeds than manipulating the UI of an Instagram Poll, utilizing fake-out graphics to grab the user’s attention? At first fans thought they could engage with a poll asking them to “show mercy”, only to have the Gladiators break apart the sticker during the heat of battle. View Video

We put the Blu-Ray on full display in true Roman fashion, utilizing the polished, stone-carved look of ancient Roman architecture to announce that Gladiator II was available on Disc & Digital. View Video

Will You Be My Valentine?

Love is in the air and fans can now profess their love Gladiator-style.

To play into the holiday, we created a whole suite of lo-fi, meme-inspired digital Valentine’s Day cards for all the main characters of the film, with accompanying copy that encourages shares and engagement.

What better way to ask someone to be their Valentine than with Pedro Pascal sitting on a golden throne?
